Assessment and teaching are the two sides of a coin.Teaching reform should start from assessment,the most important function of which is to promote the development of students.The National "Basic Education Curriculum Reform Program(Trial)" points out that assessment should not only be concerned about the academic performance of students,but also discover and develop students' various potentials,understand their needs in development,help them understand themselves better,and build up their self-confidence.It also emphasizes the importance of establishing an assessment system to promote the comprehensive development of students.In this paper,through the investigation and interview on the multiple intelligences development and assessment of the students in Yuxin Class in this school,the author get to know the problems of the current assessment of the students.With the developmental goals and curriculum of the students in Yuxin Class,the author conducts an empirical research on the multiple intelligences developmental assessment of the students in Yuxin Class and builds up the multiple intelligences developmental assessment methods and models of characteristics of the school.This paper is divided into five parts:The first part elaborates the reason,the purpose,the significance,the content and the method of the research,and also defines the core concepts.The second part is the literature review,analyzing and brief evaluating the documents on multiple intelligences developmental assessment at home and abroad.The third part is questionnaires and interviews.This part states the current situation of the students' multiple intelligences development and the interviews with teachers and students are reviewed.The data are analyzed by SPSS18.0 and the interview records are sorted out.Therefore,the problems and causes of multiple intelligences assessment are summarized according to those data and records.The fourth part takes the assessment of the students in Yuxin Class as the practice object.Firstly,the idea of the multiple intelligences developmental assessment of Yuxin Class is confirmed.Secondly,it is necessary to analyze the favorable factors of the implementation of the multiple intelligences developmental assessment.Finally,the possible methods of the multiple intelligences developmental assessment in Yuxin Class is produced.The fifth part focuses on the formation of the multiple intelligence assessment model for Yuxin Class.First,eight kinds of multiple intelligence assessment criteria and advantages are mentioned.Second,the principles of the assessment are announced.Third,the multiple intelligences assessment scale system is made.Fourth,the assessment management mechanism is formed,andthe existing problems of the assessment system are analyzed.In summary,the evaluation methods and models involved in the paper are stated.
