Experimental teaching has a positive effect on establishing students' concept of chemistry and understanding the principles of chemistry.This paper includes two aspects: inquiry experimental design and students' thinking ability cultivation.The core of the new curriculum reform is the transformation of the role,which means the students change from passive learning to active learning and the teacher turns from the leader to the guide.However,in order to adapt to the requirements of the new curriculum,the author believes what the students need most is the ability to cultivate innovative thinking.In terms of chemistry,inquiry experiment is the best carrier to cultivate innovative thinking.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part is the background of the research,which elaborates the importance of innovative thinking ability to the students under the new curriculum and the current situation on the research of the innovative thinking ability at home and abroad.The second part is the teaching theory part,which mainly introduces the main teaching theories this course is based on,including constructive theory and zone of proximaldevelopment.The third part is the main body of this paper.It mainly introduces the selection principle of inquiry experiment content,the cultivation of students' innovation thinking ability in the course of experiment and the teaching strategy of inquiry experiment as well as the evaluation of the teaching effect after the establishment of the course.The evaluation includes three aspects: the evaluation of students themselves,the evaluation of the same group's students and the evaluation from the teacher.Self-evaluation reflects the experiment ability of the students themselves and the evaluation from other students focus on the sense of cooperation of students,while the teacher's evaluation focus on the obtain and improve of the students' innovative thinking from the beginning of the study to the end of the course in the development perspective.The combination of the three evaluation mode is more tolerant,more comprehensive so it can match the new curriculum well.The last part is the conclusion and expectation,which contains three main points: the first is the choice of the experimental content,the author believes the choice of the experimental content should be consistent with the level of the zone of proximaldevelopment of the students;second is the thinking of the teachers' function which they should play during the experimental process;third is the importance of cooperation and learning.The main content of this paper is to cultivate the students' innovative thinking ability through the inquiry experiment because the characteristics of the inquiry experiment itself is very much in line with the cultivation of innovative thinking ability.In high school chemistry teaching,experimental teaching and the teaching of theoretical knowledge are the two cornerstones of the chemistry teaching.Therefore,it is a meaning subject to explore the role of the inquiry experimental teaching in cultivating high school students' innovative thinking ability.
