"The high school chemistry course standard "put forward a clearcriteria, that is we should depend on a variety of exploration activities mainlyby chemical experiment, in order to make students to experience the processof scientific research, stimulate the interest of studying chemistry, strengthenthe scientific research consciousness, promote the shift of learning style, andcultivate student’s innovative spirit and practice ability in the daily life.Under the background of new curriculum reform, this paper analyzed thepresent situation of the implementation of exploring experimental teaching,discussed the theoretical basis of implementation of inquiry-basedexperiments, and the necessity and feasibility of study on zetetic experimentteaching.Through the way of questionnaire and actual interview, the students’interest in experiment, the motivation, attitude, and capability has beeninvestigated. The zetetic experiment teaching conditions of the school wereinvestigated as well. On the basis of the result of the questionnaire analysis,some main problems existing in experiment teaching in high school were tofound. Furthermore, the teaching strategy design was summarizedsupplemented by the corresponding teaching cases.Exploratory experimental teaching is a new challenge to teachers andstudents. Thus the implementation of exploring experimental teaching is aprocess need insist for a long time. The implementation should begin withsystemically teachers training in exploring experimental teaching and maketeachers become the inquiry-based learning guide and facilitator. However, amajor shift in the teaching behavior and guide students to change learningstyle need a long process. In addition, due to the difference in the student’sknowledge base and ability level, how the inquiry learning can be accepted by all students and the inquiry ability of student with different levels can beimproved? This is still a key problem that needs to be resolved.
