School adaptation refers to the process that first grade students of primary school take to become gradually familiar with the environment both psychologically and physically.We need to pay attention to the current reality of their adaptation,find out the bad situation,analyze the deep reasons behind them and work out targeted efficient solutions,which could help students to complete the transition of primary school learning,life and interpersonal communication smoothly.At present,the school adaptation work mainly depends on the school,so from the perspective of school,it is very necessary to carry out in-depth study.This study helps to understand and promote the individual development of students,the quality of teachers' teaching and also helps to guide and update modern family education.The study adopts investigation and interview methods,selecting the class of 2015 students from a full-time public primary school in Dalian.There are 120 students in all divided into 3 classes including 75 boys and 45 girls with a proportion close to 2:1.We choose 8 people as interview object,including three class teacher,two teaching leaders,three subjects teachers.Through a set of self-compiled questionnaire and interview outline on primary school students,we do the research from three aspects of research including study adaptation,life adaptation,interpersonal adaptation.The questionnaire is answered by three experienced class teachers according to the actual situation of each student with a total number of 120 copies,which reflects the students' adaptability.The interview has also obtained valuable information and improved the quality of the research.The study shows that primary school students can adapt to school life in 6 months and the peak is between the first three months.Girls adapt better than boys;The adaptation to life is the fastest,interpersonal follows,and study adaptation is the slowest;On the whole,they have a good adaptation for pre-class preparation,routine life,and teacher-student relationship but a slow adaptation for management of personal belongings.In the aspects of developing learning habits and peer relation,girls tend to do better than boys.We can conclude that students should develop good learning habits during the adaptation period including sooner developing self-care ability and management capacity for personal belongings.The school should intervene to help them form friendly peer relation.And the grade group should make unified requirement.
