Since infants are the future of the nation, that whether their mind and body can achieve healthy and sound development exerts far-reaching influence on national prosperity. All the time, motor development has been the research focus, so many researchers have never stopped exploring this field and have achieved a lot. However, most of the research is focused more on adolescent's growth, physical quality and motor development but less on infants' motor development and its influencing factors through consulting the literature material at home and abroad. What's more, both at home and abroad, there are few comprehensive investigations or studies towards the status quo of motor development of rural infants aging 18 to 30 months that are critical period for growth. This study is aimed at having a relatively comprehensive understanding towards 18 to 30-month-old rural infants' motor development as well as its' influencing factors. Accordingly, some positive and effective suggestions could be put forward, which not only enrich relevant theories concerning infant' motor development but provide rural parents with theoretical evidence in education practice. Especially since there is only one child in many families, it is of great significance to have such research in order to improve rural infants' motor development. This research mainly applies test method and questionnaire investigation. BSID is used for athletic ability test towards 20018-30-month-old infants who are randomly selected from the town Z in Chang'an District. Meanwhile,200 questionnaires are issued to these infants' parents in order to investigate the basis situation of the infants and their families. After finishing data collection, the author conducted descriptive statistical analysis towards these infants' motor ability development level as well as some variables in questionnaire through using spss20.0, and T test, analysis of variance, correlation analysis and regression analysis are applied to have a further verification. The research result shows that 18-30-month-old infants'motor development has obvious difference s in age and family's average annual income. Correlation analysis indicates infants'motor ability is positively correlated with feeding patterns, parenting style and outdoor activities and negatively correlated with physical condition and nurture environment. Regression analysis indicates that feeding can positively predict the infants' motor ability; physical condition and nurture environment negatively predict infants' motor ability; feeding pattern and outdoor activity positively predict infants' parenting style; physical condition and nurture environment negatively predict parenting style. Besides, parenting style is a partial mediator between feeding pattern and infants' motor ability; parenting style is a partial mediator between physical condition and infants' motor ability; parenting style plays a completely mediating role between nurture environment and motor ability. On the basis of the research result, the author holds that firstly, infants' balanced diet should be paid great attention to; secondly, the establishment of sports ground and facilities should be invested more; thirdly, infants' exercise training should be strengthened; fourthly, proper exercise intervention should be conducted. Meanwhile, parents' nutritional education should be improve and scientific parenting style should be proposed in order to facilitate infants'motor development.
