China has launched the new curriculum reform for more than ten years,the concept of "for each student’s development","for the comprehensive development of students" is increasingly popular.The concept and the American education psychologists Gardner "the theory of multiple intelligences".Multiple intelligence theory focuses on diversified development of students intelligence,pay attention to the diversity in student evaluation,which provides an important theoretical guide for our education and teaching practice.However,in the college entrance examination oriented education background,many schools one-sided pursuit of enrollment rate,especially in junior middle school.In the process of education,the phenomenon of light process,light ability is increasing.Therefore,the in-depth study of geography teaching practice,exploring the strategy of the combination of multiple intelligence theory and geography teaching,awaken and stimulate students’ enthusiasm and creativity in geography study.To promote students’ all-round development of body and mind,seems particularly necessary.In this paper,using literature method,case comparative analysis and other methods,on the basis of the research background and significance of the research topic,the meaning of the theory of multiple intelligences and its guiding significance to the geography teaching are summarized.Based on the constructivism learning theory and the Humanism learning theory,this study analyzes geography life-oriented teaching and its value.Based on the theory of multiple intelligence,geography life-oriented teaching is discussed,and the strategies of geography teaching based on the cultivation and development of students’ multiple intelligence are summarized.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction.This part mainly discusses the background,significance and research methods of the topic.The second part mainly expounds the theory of multiple intelligences and its guiding significance to the geography teaching.The third part is the case analysis,through the "group cooperative learning" case and "Teaching of geography into daily life" case,on geographical life-oriented teaching is the effective measures to cultivate and develop students" multiple intelligences.The fourth part elaborates the strategy of the combination of the theory and the teaching,from the three aspects of curriculum content,classroom atmosphere and teaching evaluation.The last part is the conclusion and prospect of the research content.Through the research,textbook theory knowledge and the actual life was connected more closely,enable students to truly feel the geographical knowledge not only source in daily life,but also it can be used in daily life,more love of learning geography.
