The new curriculum reform advocates that we should think of people first. And we should regard the students as the main body, while the teacher should play the role of leading in the classroom teaching. As a new teaching method, the game method follows the principle of combining education with recreation, pulling together science, art, and the teaching materials.Then we will achieve the teaching purpose by means of playing games. Because of its entertainment and cooperation, it is becoming more and more popular among the teachers and students.In this research, the author consulted literature to have a thorough understanding of the present situation of game teaching method in our country. By studying the theory, the author improved the theory of game teaching in biology teaching in senior high schools. The research studied the development of the method in different lesson types by case analysis. The research discusses the effects of improving the students' grades, and stimulating the students' interest in learning biology.This thesis mainly contains six parts.The first part raises the topic. It includes the background, the situation, the reasons and the significance of selecting this topic.The second part is about the definition and theoretical basis. In this paper, we define the concept in two aspects: the game and the game teaching. And the author tries to find the theoretical basis from constructivism, cooperative learning, the theory of multiple intelligence theory and psychology.The third part is about the method and principle. This thesis uses the literature review, case analysis, experiments and investigation method. Game teaching method follows the principle of indirectness, purposiveness, sociality, solidarity and cooperation and fair competition.The fourth part is about case analysis. This part contains listing teaching cases, discussing different class types and the scientific design of the activities in the teaching.The fifth part is the experiment. By comparing the academic records of the students between the controlled group and the experimental group, the author tries to analyze the differences in academic records and the learning interest of the students in the two groups.The sixth part is conclusion. In this paper, we can draw the conclusion that the game teaching method applies not only to language learning, PE, but also the biology teaching insenior high schools. The game teaching method can ensure the effect of classroom teaching,improve students' grades. The game teaching method can stimulate the students' strong interest in learning biology and their strong thirst for knowledge.
