| It has been a long way from the time when music course was first established in ordinary high school in the middle of last century to the time when the official standard of high school music course was promulgated at the beginning of this century. Currently, with the reform and development of the society, the government has paid enough attention to music course in high school. Just as described in “The Standard of Music Course for Regular High School(Trial Version)” promulgated in 2003, “music course is not only one of the most important courses of humanities, but also the main way to implement aesthetic education in high school.”As an important module of music course of high school, music appreciation teaching is very helpful for enriching students’ emotion, edifying their sentiment, improving their cultural quality, enhancing their physical and mental health. At the same time, in the music appreciation class, the students could set up equal pluralistic values and form perfect personality by experiencing the music culture of other nations and countries..In my teaching the course of music appreciation of high school, I found out that the method of situation creation is effective in improving the teaching efficiency and it is of great help for us, which is the main motivation in my research on situation creation in high school music course. While I was writing this essay, I offered a deep analysis on the real teaching of music course with my years’ teaching experience. I also referred to a large number of literature and focused my study on necessity, principles and exploratory attempt on situation creation in music appreciation course.This essay is divided into four parts. The first part is the description of related theories. Based on the constructivism theory, this essay analyzes the characteristic, meaning and the necessity of the implementation of situation creation in music course of high school. The second part describes and analyses the necessity and principles of situation creation in the teaching of high school music course. The third part, also the main part of this essay, describes and explores the methods and ways of how to create situation in music appreciation in the following respects: with the aid of multimedia tools, with the use of roles, real scene and language description method. The fourth part is the analysis about two cases on how to use situation creation in music appreciation course.After much study, practice and research, I find that the situation creation is a “multiplier” in improving the efficiency of music appreciation in music course. In addition, it is also very helpful in changing teachers’ teaching philosophy and improving teaching efficiency. At the same time, it is of great importance in broadening ways for students to learn music. It is especially useful and helpful in cultivating students’ interest in music, imagination, innovative thinking and creativity as well. |
