Graphic language is one of the world recognized interpersonal communication three language tool, it in graphic and image transfer information, compared with natural language and mathematics language. In transmission of the space and environment information has unique advantages. In geography teaching, a variety of graphical language plays an important role in the expression of the geographic distribution and the principle of knowledge. The use of concepts such as graphs,graphics, forms, and help students to construct and geographical concept, principle,process, landscape matched geographical representation is the most basic characteristics of geographic learning. But through the review of the literature that,although quite a the study of graphic literature appeared in recent years, but from the angle of educational psychology theory of maps in geography teaching were explored in depth study and practice exploration is not. From the perspective of the educational psychology from the visual perception theory, representation theory, schema theory,memory theory, constructionist, education and cognitive science as a fulcrum and through comprehensive analysis, case lists method and curriculum pattern multiple method of maps in geography teaching visual theory and practice strategy of the comprehensive analysis and research.The thesis is divided into seven parts. The first part of the status duo of graphic.Describes the basic graphics education status and research significance and research situation; second part graphic teaching theory, this paper studies. The imagery processing theory research from the perspective of third part graphic teaching. Mainly from the conversion type and representation of the overview, classification,geographical representation thought is studied in detail. The fourth part is the research of schema theory from the perspective of geographic teaching. This paper discusses the knowledge about related concepts, classification of psychological schema. The fifth part sensory channel theory to study geography teaching pattern. Scanning law includes dual channel theory, visual perception. The sixth part is the research from the perspective of constructionist teaching pattern of geography. Including Dewey, Vigor J I and other from the perspective of constructionist theory, and insinuation teaching the theory of inquiry teaching. The seventh part strategy of geographic teaching.Including graphic teaching practice, teaching strategies, memory. The geographiclearning strategy and practice to promote the experimental class. This paper based on the above seven parts are discussed in detail.The author holds that the theory of graphics related in education, psychology and other cognitive sciences is closely related to geographical figure. And it will have a very important influence on the teaching of geography. Because of the large proportion of geography teaching and practice in the whole geography teaching.Therefore, for teachers, the teaching method of drawing graphics is the key to the teaching of geography. In addition, in the actual geography teaching should be more from the perspective of cognitive science for some graphic design, and training, the use of visual teaching method of map and drawing on the board and a variety of media transmission image application to explain as much as possible. To create a vivid and visual perceptual learning environment, so as to provide students with a wealth of geographical representation to provide cognitive conditions, improve the teaching efficiency of geographical concepts and principles. For students, not only to master the skills of learning geography graphics, but also to strengthen the practice and strengthen graphics. Remember, so as to promote the understanding of the geographical knowledge and master, but also the thinking ability plays an important role. In addition, graphics and learning of geography teaching should not only in the classroom teaching, to do more to create the conditions makes a survey of the experimental or outdoor practice, the ability to enhance the students to apply the knowledge to solve geographic problems in actual life, and improve students' practical ability and promote the cultivation of Geographic literacy.
