A new round of basic education reform is under way.One of the key points of this reform is to develop students'core literacy.In order to comply with the needs of the basic education reform,The reform of geography curriculum also puts forward the requirements that geography education in middle school should cultivate the students'geography core literacy.As an important part of geography core literacy,the comprehensive thinking accomplishment should be taken by the geography education of middle school.The geographic chart plays a very important role in geography teaching in middle school and geography in college entrance examination,thus,It is of great value to explore how to cultivate students'comprehensive thinking literacy of geography by means of geography chart teaching.On the basis of previous studies,this paper further explores how to cultivate students'comprehensive thinking literacy of geography through the teaching of geographical charts.The purpose of this paper is to provide some suggestions for the reform of geography teaching methods.This paper summarizes the research done by predecessors through literature research,and then takes Weixian No.l Middle School in Hebei Province as an example.By means of questionnaire survey,teachers and students are investigated on the cognition of geographical charts and comprehensive thinking literacy of geography,and the present situation of the development of students'geographical chart ability and comprehensive thinking literacy is understood through the form of tests.The results of the students'tests show that the students'overall chart ability and the development level of students'comprehensive thinking complishment needs to be further improved.Some suggestions for improvement are put forward in combination with the common phenomena and problems in geography education and teaching.And the teaching design are being carried out according to the high school geography curriculum standards and geography core literacy.
