| Chinese martial arts is a valuable national culture heritage with a long history, which wasaccumulated and developed from the long-term social production and living practices. Trainingmartial arts is playing an irreplaceable role in increasing students`physical and mental health,nurturing students`outstanding moral character and promoting Chinese treasurable culture.Nowadays, to vigorously promote quality education, our nation had listed martial artsinstruction in all levels of the school’s compulsory curriculum. However, its run is not muchideal in vocational and technological colleges in Shandong province, which seriously hinderedthe martial arts reform of vocational and technological colleges in Shandong province. Thiswriting conducted and analysed the status of martial arts courses of vocational and technologicalcolleges in Shandong province using some comprehensive ways like documentation method,questionnaire survy, Delphi technique, logical analysis and mathematical-statistics and theconclusions as follows,1. Some colleges leaders perversely remain “intellectual infusing above physical education”and neglect the function of martial arts in colleges physical education, which result in martialarts teaching works labour along in colleges.2. Teaching staff presents a character of younger. There are lack of teachers withhigher-education and higher-professional title. The scientific research capacity of existing martialarts teachers is commonly low.3. The students`knowledge of martial arts is relatively superficial as well as weak marcialarts foundation. Their motivation of training martial arts is inclined to practicality and rationality.But the dull teaching contents and dated teaching methods have a largely disparity with students`expectation.4. The training field and supplies are not well equipped and cannot meet the teaching needs,which have restricted the improvement of teaching quality and effectiveness.5. Most vocational and technological colleges in Shandong province have not compiledpointed special education materials according to their own practical conditions.6. The evaluation system still remains completely teacher-driven model,which cannotprovide teachers realistic and effective feedback and is not good to stimulating students trainingand improving the teaching effects.To deal with series of problems occurred in the process of martial arts teaching and promotefurther developing of martial arts teaching of vocational and technological colleges in Shandongprovince, the advises and countermeasures as follows,1. The college leaders should transform the educational ideas and lay more emphasis onmartial arts teaching. 2. To strengthen the training of high-quality martial arts teaching staff.3. To deepen the course reform, rich the teaching content, diversify the teaching method.4. To make full use of the existing fields, equipments and ensure the investments on thesematters.5. To compile high-quality, pointed, standardized and scientific education materials.6. To establish comprehensive, scientific and standardized evaluation system. |
