The Problems And Countermeasures Of The Work Of The Women's Federation Of Heilongjiang Province In Safeguarding Women's Rights And Interests

As the basic principle of the constitution of China,the state policy of gender equality serves as the symbol of social civilization.It is of strategic significance to protect the legal rights of females and push forward the joint development of females,economy,and society,carrying out the basic national policy,thus the rejuvenation of China.As the largest female organization of China,the women's federation is closely connected with the Communist Party of China for it is the public group guided and supported by the Communist Party of China and serves as the bridge and tie between the Party and the public.Despite that Heilongjiang Women's Federation has made outstanding contributions to the protection of female rights,it is troubled by some issues.This essay,therefore,puts forward some recommendations to solve these problems,including the inability in the intractable difficulties in female rights,the inadequate efforts in the protection against the violation of female rights in family lives,and the insufficient attention to the female disadvantage groups.In this working mechanism,the women's federation lacks the linkage with other organizations for female rights protection,which hampers the works of female rights protection.By virtue of the analysis,the author discusses the reasons of these issues,namely,the imperfect protection institutions against female rights,underdeveloped awareness of female rights,the incompetence of female rights protectors,and a lack of interactions with the government.According to the current situation of women's federations,the author puts forward some recommendations on female rights protection: 1)improve the legal environment of female rights protection;2)improve the relevant functions of the department for female rights protection;3)raise the political participation of females;4)create new methods for female rights protection,thus the feasible strategies to protect the female rights by the women's federations.
