Research On Safeguarding Women’s Rights And Interests In M District Women’s Federation Of H City

In recent years,the level of economic and social development of our country has gradually improved,and women have also played an indispensable role in it.They have made excellent achievements in many fields and have been recognized by the public.However,while women’s social status is gradually rising,we cannot ignore that some women’s legitimate rights and interests are not protected.On January 1,2023,the newly revised Law on the Protection of Women’s Rights and Interests came into effect,calling on the whole society to pay attention to the basic rights and interests of women.Women’s federations,as the department of communication with women,safeguard women’s legitimate rights and interests is one of its basic functions.In the face of new requirements arising from the new situation,grassroots women’s federations must give full play to this function,take practical actions to help women whose rights and interests have been infringed upon legally protect their rights,and help them participate in social development on an equal footing.However,in the actual rights protection work,although the women’s federation has its special convenient conditions,it will inevitably face many problems,resulting in new breakthroughs in the protection of women’s rights and interests.At this time,we need to change our thinking,open up new working methods,and form a new working pattern to break this situation.In recent years,with the deepening of the reform of the Women’s Federation,the Women’s Federation of M District in H City has paid more attention to the function of safeguarding women’s rights and interests,carried out some innovative work and got good feedback.However,with the gradual acceleration of social development,the women’s Federation of M District in H City is currently facing difficulties in safeguarding its rights,and the work it has done can no longer meet the development needs of women.The author summarized the current status of the women’s rights and interests protection work of the M District Women’s Federation in H City,and pointed out the problems arising in the actual work,such as the insufficient professional level of the women’s rights protection cadres,the failure of various government departments to cooperate in the work of women’s rights and interests protection,the lack of special funds for women’s rights and interests protection work,and the low awareness rate of the women’s rights and interests protection function of the women’s Federation,which seriously affected the function of the women’s Federation.Then,from the analysis of its own factors,this paper finds that the direct causes of the above problems are the simple education and training methods of the women’s Federation’s rights defenders,the imperfect collaborative participation mechanism,the single funding source of the women’s Federation,and the inadequate publicity of the women’s rights and interests protection.To further improve the work of women’s federations by strengthening the team building of grass-roots women’s federations,exploring new modes of cooperative rights protection,improving the funding guarantee mechanism of women’s rights and interests protection work,and increasing the publicity of women’s rights and interests protection work of women’s federations,etc.,is of great practical significance for giving full play to the function of women’s federations in safeguarding women’s rights and interests and promoting the implementation of the basic national policy of gender equality.
