The development of country depends on education,and education plays an irreplaceable role in this process.More and more experts and scholars have begun to pay extensive attention to the development of education psychology.This thesis takes chapter 107-109 in The Praeger Handbook of Education and Psychology as translation source material.This part is the study and summary of educational psychology.The source language text focuses on the narrative facts,uses formal language,and its vocabulary and syntax features of educational psychology are prominent.In the process of translation,for the genre characteristics,the translator selects appropriate translation strategies.For example,amplification,omission,conversion and the translation of attributive clauses and complex sentences.Based on the problems encountered in the translation,the author summarizes the translation strategies and writes this paper,hoping to provide reference for subsequent translation of the same texts.
