A Study Of Rhetorical Words In The HSK Vocabulary Outline

In the rich vocabulary system of modern Chinese,there is a special kind of words such as 'Hong Niang','Bi Zhi','She Xie',which were created by the rhetorical devices.These words are closely related to Chinese culture and Chinese nation psychology.For native speakers,these words are not difficult.However,in the process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,it's too hard for non-native speakers to grasp the deep meaning,if our teachers only explain the structure of this kind of words,do surface semantic analysis,rather than explore its generation and deep cultural connotation.Until now,thousands of academic monographs,journals conducted research on this special kind of words,but most of them focused on the Rhetoric coinages Act,even some papers confused the system of word coinage and word categories.What's more,no one put forward the view of Rhetorical Words,formally.Meanwhile,their major corpus source came from the Modern Chinese Dictionary,among which less have based on HSK Vocabulary Outline.Based on those researches,we choose the words in HSK Vocabulary Outline as our target to make a detail investigation on the Rhetoric Words in it.According to the kinds of rhetoric,we found that these words can be divided into 12 kinds,such as Metaphoric Word,Metonymy Word,Exaggerated Word and so on.Combined the characteristics of these Rhetoric Words with the problems which hampered non-native speakers learning Chinese,we put forward some suggestions of Rhetorical Words Teaching.The full text was divided into 6 parts:the first part is the introduction part which elaborate the background and significance of the research,and explain the research methods,and summarize the related research.The second part differentiates the Rhetoric Coinages Act and the Rhetorical Words are two different concepts,and introduce the definition and categories of Rhetorical Words.The third part research the Rhetorical Words of HSK Vocabulary Outline.The fourth part,we offered some suggestions.The fifth part we put our theory into teaching practice.The last chapter summarize the whole text.
