Xuzhou Dialect Affixation Research

Xuzhou is located in the northwest of Jiangsu Province,and is border by Jiangsu,Shandong,Henan and Anhui provinces.According to the latest study of Chinese dialect partition,Xuzhou dialect belongs to the 'part of Xuhuai dialect in Zhongyuan Mandarin.This thesis will discuss the affix of Xuzhou dialect.On the basis of full investigation,we collect rich data of affixes in Xuzhou dialect,then we try to describe the affixes comprehensively,to demonstrate the affix system of Xuzhou dialect,and do some analysis and explanation,to sum up the use of these affixes.Affix belongs to the category of word formation and is an important syntactical unit.According to its position,it is generally divided into prefix,infix and suffix.Affixes in Xuzhou dialect are very rich and systematic,especially the suffixes in monosyllabic verb and adjective,and the lively forms of adjective,which is abundant,high-frequency,and productive.Affix in Xuzhou dialect does not only have the general characteristics of modern Chinese,but also has local characteristics,makes the expression of Xuzhou dialect more diverse.We will also contrast the affixes in Xuzhou dialect with the ancient Chinese,the Mandarin,and the dialects surrounding Xuzhou,which can highlight the characteristics of Xuzhou dialect.The main content is divided into six parts:The first part is Introduction.We Introduce the research status of Xuzhou dialect especially the affix,summarize and abstract the theory and viewpoint of modern Chinese affix,put forward the definition of Chinese affix,to provide theoretical guidance for studying the affix of Xuzhou dialect.The second part is the prefix in Xuzhou dialectmost of prefixes are noun prefixes and adjective prefixes.We Focus on the acknowledged prefixes,"?","?","?","?",and explore "?","?","?","?","?",and"?","?"is a powerful multi-affix in Jin dialect.What's more,We study monosyllabic prefixes in the BA-style lively forms of adjective specially.The third part is the infix in Xuzhou dialect.There are only small number of infixes in Xuzhou dialect.We focus on the infix "?" and its variants,as well as infix "?".The fourth part is the suffix in Xuzhou dialect.The suffixes in Xuzhou dialect are richest.Noun suffixes include "?","?",which can be used after a variety of nouns,and "?","?","?",'which can only be used after the time noun,and other noun suffixes in cursing expression.Verbs suffixes include"? ","?","?","?","?","?","?","?",and so on.Among them,"?","?","?","?"are multi-suffixes,also used after the adjective.Finally,adjective suffixes include the suffixes from the lively forms of adjective"AX(?)",and"?(?)?","???","????","???/??","????","????",we will compare them.The fifth part is conclusion.We will have an overall evaluation of the affix of Xuzhou dialect.
