Economic globalization has prompted Chinese enterprises to "go out" step by step.In the process of Chinese enterprises to go abroad to gradually form a multinational enterprise,will face long-term in cross-cultural environment in business activities.Cultural factors have gradually become one of the many risk factors faced by enterprises in global management.At present,the international energy and power market,EPC project competition,overseas EPC project duration,uncertainties and more.There are also a few cases of failure due to improper handling of cross-cultural issues.Therefore,in-depth study of international EPC power plant project cross-cultural management,has a certain theoretical and practical significance.The theoretical significance of this article is that the existing intercultural theories at home and abroad are not closely related to the cross-cultural risk management of EPC projects.Therefore,it is necessary for us to identify,research and manage cross-cultural conflicts that may be encountered in the case of EPC projects.Case studies help to expand the research perspective of domestic scholars.The practical significance of this paper is: "The international market first,the synergetic development of general contracting of projects" is an important strategic measure for KD Company to expand living space and improve profitability.However,after going abroad,KD faced many problems arising from cross-cultural conflicts such as conflict of laws and regulations,organizational mode,value understanding and project management mode.This article will select the cross-cultural risk points that cause risks to the project department and the company by screening the macro-cultural conflicts and the micro-cultural conflicts within the project from outside the project.If the KD company can anticipate and control the above risk points,it will help reduce the cost of the project,help the overseas project market to develop,improve the organizational structure of the project while improving the cross-cultural risk points,and improve its own Management system,thereby enhancing the company to obtain the new international engineering EPC project competitiveness.Further to the S project case,the practical significance of this article is that KD companiesentered the international market later than other international contractors with earlier internationalization and more internationalization.For the Latin American market,KD's presence later than some fraternal units,the experience of dealing with local businesses is weak.S project is still under construction so far.Therefore,the study of cross-cultural risk management of KD's EPC project in the case of S project can directly improve project management and project implementation level of KD's S project management.In this paper,comparative analysis,case analysis,questionnaire and expert scoring methods and other research methods to conduct a full range of multi-angle research.Taking the cross-cultural risk management of EPC project in KD International as the research object and the S project as an example,on the basis of investigating the present situation of cross-cultural conflict existing in international projects of KD Company,Produce a list of risk cross-cultural risk points and make countermeasures one by one.Based on the countermeasures and suggestions,the research summary and research prospect that can improve the S project management level and benefit the KD company to the international project EPC project management level are obtained.After in-depth analysis and systematic research on cross-cultural risk management of KD International Engineering EPC Project,the following conclusions are drawn:1.Cross-cultural risk management is an inevitable long-term problem faced by KD's international EPC projects.2.Correct analysis of project cross-cultural risk factors is to formulate effective countermeasures and the successful implementation of the premise.3.To win the common vision of a win-win situation,to strengthen cross-cultural and effective communication,create a good team atmosphere and the establishment of compatible corporate culture As cross-cultural risk management ideas,to establish an effective cross-cultural risk response mechanism is the key to cross-cultural risk management.To sum up,this article has made a meaningful discussion on the cross-cultural risk management of the EPC project in the international community.However,the related theories have yet to be further refined,studied and verified in the subsequent project implementation.Therefore,in this paper,we study how to apply cross-cultural theory to the execution of foreign projects so as to make the theory of cross-cultural play an instructive role in the EPC project of international engineering.At the same time,we can correct and enrich the theory of cross-culturalmanagement through project examples,Important theoretical and practical significance.
