Based on the theory of three-dimensional model of Huang Xiting's time management disposition and the theory of group counseling and time management disposition, the group counseling scheme for vocational college students was designed in this study. Through the quantitative and qualitative research methods, the paper analyzes the time management disposition of vocational college students, and explores the reasonable and effective methods to improve their time management.First of all, the questionnaire named "youth time management disposition scale"was used to know the time management of students in Nanjing Engineering Vocational College. Secondly, according to the results of questionnaire, 64 students were selected as the subjects of the group counseling, of which 32 were experimental group and the other control group. Seven times were conducted in the experimental group, while the control group did not receive any intervention. Then the same questionnaire was used to conduct a post-test for all subjects. After comparison between the experimental group and the control group, the grades of time management in three dimension of the experimental group was significantly higher than those in the control group (p < 0.05). What's more,according to the self-assessment,the satisfaction of the group,the leaders' assessment of the group,the intervention has a positive impact on the time management dispositions, especially in the time monitoring and time efficacy. Finally, the evaluation of the effectiveness of this group counseling and activities were analyzed and discussed.This conclusion of this study:(1) There was no significant difference between experimental group and control group in the time management disposition before group counseling intervention(2) There was significant difference in the two dimensions of time monitoring and time efficacy after group counseling intervention, but there was no significant difference in the dimension of time value.(3) After the group counseling intervention, the average score of each group was higher than that of the control group, and there was significant difference.(4) There was no significant difference before and after the experiment in control group.
