Shen Yixiu's Poetry "flower" Imagery Research

Shen Yixiu,a female writer,is a special existence in the late Ming dynasty,she contact the female literature community of Shen and Ye.During the decades after marry Ye Shaoyuan,she wrote more than eight hundred piece,her collection of li chui have been recorded 624 poem,190 ci-verses and 19 articles,most of these works show the boudoir life of traditional women.There are a large number of floral images,combining objective flowers and subjective feelings,she created beautiful and elegant writings.Flowers in her poetry account for about 61%,and there is a unique significance in the floral images,based on traditional Chinese culture of flower and the special contact with flowers and women.Entrusting to the care of flowers and expressing her own emotions,the flowers become a unique image,a symbol of her personality.The first chapter mainly discusses the relationship between flower and Shen Yixiu.On the one hand,inherited the ancient Chinese culture of flower,Shen Yixiuexpress her emotion by flower.On the other hand,Shen Yixiu's life is similar to the existence form of the flower,so we can explain her life with the growth,blooming and fading of flowers.The second chapter analyzes the flowers of the poetry.Shen Yixiu'ssentimental nature,together with the distress leads to all the sorrow speech in her paper.Her inner desire is contradicted to her real life,so endless sorrow deepened day by day.With infinite sorrow and devoted feelings,she pays attention to create artistic conception of pure and fresh.The third chapter analysis the inheritance and development of predecessors' flowers,such as apricot,peach,lotus,chrysanthemum,osmanthus and plum.She conveyed various sincere and deep feelings with the help of floral images,for instance,leisurely and comfortable life,a mood of loneliness,the reminiscence of her family,emotion with time fling.The fourth chapter discusses the flower image and expression of feminine consciousness.With their own understanding of life,the flower image is unique in female works,under the care of gender consciousness,the works of Shen Yixiu show a certain amount of female consciousness through writing women themselves and their life fate.
