In the later Ming dynasty, the appearance of new talented women and the subsequent popularity of view to new talented women brought direct influence to the flourishing of feminine culture during Ming and Qing dynasty. These new talented women and this new view are mainly embedded in the South China's feminine culture, the model of which is the one in Ye Family of Wu Jiang area.This thesis aims to research Shen Yixiu, a typical talented woman on feminine culture in the Ye Family, and Ye Shaoyuan, her husband and supporter. Make a case study, sort our Shen's cultural practice as a new talented woman and Ye's theory of new talented women, analyze this new talented women,which model's historical value as well as her limitations.In order to get a clear and comprehensive understanding to this outstanding woman.The pre-text describes the social and cultural background at that time when the new talented women culture appeared.The first chapter introduces the partnership marriage of Shen and Ye, and the great positive influence to new talented woman by this kind of marriage. Then describe Shen's characteristics in view of Morality, Talent and Beauty.The second chapter introduces and analyzes the theory of "Three immortals of women" proposed by Ye Shaoyuan.The third chapter, from the feminie history and the contrast between genders, analyzes and evaluates Shen Yixiu, as a talented woman, her historical value and limitations in the China's feminie history.The appendix of the thesis is the Chronology of Shen Yixiu.
