An Examination Of Buzzwords In Chinese Learning Websites

As the years went by,e-learning has become a major means of learning Chinese.Many Chinese learners are inclined to choose various websites for Chinese learning.At the same time,a lot of catchwords emerge in an endless stream.In this paper,we will study the situation of popular words from ten Chinese learning websites.After defining the concepts of catchwords and Chinese learning websites,we re-classified the classification criteria according to the actual situation.On the basis of them,we continued to study the information of the websites and the material as well as the explanation and teaching methods of the catchwords in the website.Meanwhile,we compared the catchwords in the websites with the catchwords in the two authoritative list from The Language Situation in China and Excessive Wording.Finally,through the three aspects of the study results,we come to some problems in buzzwords in the current Chinese learning Website,and try to give recommendations.
