Broken Form With The Whole Soul

Most of the Chinese people’s impression of the concept of glass painting is limited to the Western church religious painting,but in fact,modern glass painting has many forms and uses.In the process,there are mosaic glass without hand-painting,stained glass painting with hand-painted and bar mosaic,even spray painting and the combination of screen print hand-drawing and spray painting appeared in modern times;in the scope of use,glass paintings are used in many public spaces.This paper focuses on the traditional manual stained glass painting which is both traditional and novel for the Chinese public art world,and expounds its current situation and the vitality for future development.The paper begins with the concept and history of glass painting,analyzed the relationship of the traditional stained glass windows and buildings,and then summarized the transformation and development of modern glass art from the perspective of The Mucha Window in the modern day.Through my own practice,investigation of art glass factory and involvement in the production of hand-painting glass and stained glass painting,analyzing production process of glass painting,understanding painting art and summarizing experiences in the end.Put the glass painting in the contemporary public art system,analyze the characteristics and differences of glass painting and other forms of art.At the end of the paper,there are the appreciation and the possibility of future development of the modern art of glass painting.
