Pre-Qin Confucian Moral Education Thought Research

President Xi Jinping holds strong feelings for Chinese traditional culture,especially the Confucianism.The respect and value put on Confucian Culture by Xi Jinping send us a message of his recognition and approval of it,which points out the strategy of our national culture development and represents the needs of Contemporary Social and Cultural development.It is worthy for us to think about how to inherit and develop the Pre-Qin Confucianism and apply it to the contemporary ideological and political education of college students.This thesis includes three parts: The literature Review,main chapters and the conclusion.The Literature Review introduces the significance of research background,summarizes the domestic and foreign research about the pre-Qin Confucianism,explains the research methods,ideology,main content and the important and difficult points as well as the innovative points of this thesis.The thesis lines out its contents by analyzing the three W,namely,what,why and how.What stands for what is the pre-Qin Confucianism and its development,contents as well as the representative figures;Why stands for why do we inherit,in other words,the necessity;How stands for how to inherit and develop the pre-Qin Confucianism.Pre-Qin period was the period before the Qin dynasty.Confucianism in Qin dynasty was with strong moral color,while Confucianism from Han dynasty was with strong authoritarian color and lacking of equality and freedom.So the thesis choose to study on the Confucianism in Qin dynasty which was represented by Confucius,Mencius and Xunzi.Their ideas laid a solid foundation of the development of Confucianism for the later generations and made it China studies.Confucius To be benevolent love principle put benevolent into the core position and etiquette as the foundation of Confucianism;Mengzi advocated the idea of men are born good and preferred the rule of virtue;Xunzi advocated the idea of men are born evil and tried to enhance the Confucian propriety.The heritage of pre-Qin Confucianism was not smooth,it suffered two heavy beatings in the modern times.Not until the time of the peaceful golden society,did people treat Confucianism more rationally.We discarded the dross and selected the essential to make sure the common parts of Confucianism and Maxim became the important component of localization of Marxism in China,hence better guide college students ’ ideological and political education.At the same time,President Xi Jinping also points out that we should treat Confucianism and Chinese traditional culture more rationally.The prosperity of Confucius institutes around the world demonstrates the vitality of Confucianism.Then the thesis points out the necessity and significance of passing down the Confucianism through analyzing the moral problems of college students.At last,the thesis researches the development of pre-Qin Confucianism in the ideological and political education of college students via introducing the educational contents,paths and methods.
