| Unlike musicians, Huizong, as an emperor,his music thought makes efforts on improvements of ancient music.As an important part in the Song Dynasty’s music thought, and even the history of Chinese music thought. Based on many previous research, I tried to make a comprehensive analysis about the process of Emperor Huizong in music of the Song Dynasty. This paper, which is separated into seven parts by impression from the ideas of Confucian, Taoist and Buddhist.The article is made of three parts, divided into 5 chapters to discuss The prolegomenon and the first chapter constitute to the first part. The prolegomenon, which elaborates methods, purpose and significance of this issue. It is a summary about the present situation and achievements of the research on Huizong’s musical thought. In order to analyze the causes of Huizong unique music thought, the first chapter, however, talks about the time and background of his musical thoughts, and made a brief description of his life.The second part is made of the second chapter to the fourth part,which is the focus of this paper. In the second chapter,the author analyzes from perspective of Confucian thinking of music,which is inherited by Huizong. The thinking contains’advocating elegance and restraining abruptness’, the function of music on’changing people’s old customs and habits, and the king’s mercy on people by sharing happiness with them. This part talks about the reform process of Huizong’s music system and made further explore about the emperor Huizong’s mind. The reasons why were mainly for the prevalence of flattering and his self-expansion.The third chapter consists of three segments. According to history and some references,which noted Huizong’s behaviors when he put his faith in Taoism and rules he made, firstly the passage summarized some measures and analyzed them. Then the essay states Huizong’s belief,which is in the light of two aspects:ruler’s political needs and Taoist magic. Finally, in the basis of his book’Royal solution of moral ethics’, the writer studied the Taoism’s musical thoughts, which are known as virtual world and the beauty of casualness, impressed Huizong a lot.The third part is the fifth chapter.On the basis of the previous chapters, the paper summarizes Huizong’s combination measures - to make Three Religions (Buddhism,Taoism and Confucian) in One. Then shows the emperor minds of taking priority to Taoism, mentioned by Confucianism. Eventually, for the sake of illustrating Huizong’s individual thinking,the writer made a conclusion of the article, which is on Buddhism, Taoism and Confucian and his step:Three Religions in One. |
