Huang Binhong's Landscape Painting "Water Law" Research

Huangbinhong, as a famous landscape painter of the 20th century, has the epoch-making contribution no matter in traditional painting skills or theoretical research. Huangbinhong attaches great importance to the use of water, he is familiar with ultilizing all kinds of "water " skills by studying the characteristics of "water" in his painting practice, and by seizing the opportunity given by natural revelation, he creates the unique water features, pushing the "water" to a new high. Based on the literature and Huangbinhong's existing landscape works of different periods, and giving full play to the advantages of painting professional students on image research, the "water" origin of Huangbinhong, specific application of "water", independent artistic effect of "water" and the practical significance of contemporary landscape painting are researched in this paper.This paper briefly expounds the development of use of "water" in the ancient landscape painting firstly, and defines the position of the water in the landscape painting secondly. And then, according to the artistic development phases of Huangbinhong, the origins of development of his "water" are analyzed from two aspects, namely humanistic inspiration and natural enlightenment, especially, the great role of the trip to shuchuan in the development of his "water" is analyzed emphatically. Then, from the "water" forms presented in huang's works, his characteristics to use "water" are analyzed, and the relationship between the specific use of Huangbinhong's "water" in his creative process and the independent artistic effect it presents is further unfolded. Finally, the value embodiment on the theory and practice of Huangbinhong "water", and its practical significance to contemporary landscape painting creation are briefly analyzed. Through the study of Huang's "water", we aim to show Huangbinhong's ways to explore "water" and water's function in his landscape painting creation, draw people's attention to use of water in the landscape painting creation, expands the innovation directions of contemporary landscape painting expression languages, and enriches the landscape painting's performance techniques.
