Spring And Autumn Qilu Bin Ceremony System Research

Bin Li, the rite of reception to guest, is one of the five ceremonies of the Western Zhou Dynasty and is a kind of special ceremony of the pre-Qin period, which is used to the daily contact between Zhou emperor and its dukes. The research of Bin Li is a important issue of the pre-Qin period etiquette's research. And from the Western Zhou enfeoffed to the Spring-autumn Period, the research of Bin Li continually developed, covered and throughout a wide range of long history time. Because of the limitation of historical materials, the research about Bin Li started at the Spring-autumn Period- the climax phase of Bin Li. The Spring-autumn Period is also important for declining position of Bin Li. Zhou Dynasty slacked its control of dukes, therefore, Bin Li activities are gradually reduced between the Zhou emperor and its dukes and developed between dukes, and has an important position in politics activities. This thesis mainly limits system of Bin Li in the Spring-autumn Period,elects Lu and the lord of Spring-autumn Period Qi as its object of study about the Bin Li, and analyses contents and characters about Bin Li activities of Qi and Lu. In first chapter, the author introduces connotation and function of Bin Li, analyses issues about Bin Li's origin and classification, which in order to know t general condition of Bin Li. In second chapter, the author begins to expound the Bin Li's content of system of Qi and Lu during Spring-autumn Period, which is divided into four most useful ceremony system activities: ceremony of pilgrimage, ceremony of the emperor envoy-dispatching, ceremony of alliance in ancient China and ceremony of visiting a friendly nation. At the same time, author makes a table about the four ceremonies in order to make the Bin Li activity more comprehensive and clearness and show its characters more directly. In third chapter, the author concludes five important characters of Qi and Lu during Spring-autumn Period, which can reflect the general appearance about declining of Bin Li. The last chapter contains related contents of the main reason of Bin Li in Qi and Lu. Then taking the history as a mirror, through resurveying the issue of the system ceremony in modern times, people can realize that the mastering the orientation of ceremony system' development has great practical significance to development of socialist ideological and ethical progress socialism spiritual civilization construction.
