There has been a long history of Chinese teaching in Thailand. With time's reformation, the Chinese test also has been constantly adjusted and improved. Since 2009, Chinese college entrance examination in Thailand is named PAT7.4, namely Chinese professional aptitude test. It has been seven years since the start of PAT7.4 examination. Generally students in Thailand have low unsatisfying result of the test of PAT7.4,and the scores of the students are concentrated in the low band It is not only unable to distinguish the students' ability of Chinese language, but also unfavorable to choose the really suitable talentsThis thesis, firstly, sets seven exam papers of PAT7.4 from 2009 to 2010 as samples, carding and researching the exam paper's structure. Secondly, based on Bachman's theory about competence, the thesis will count up the proportion of knowledge-point, and analyze the scope and level of the linguistic competence of PAT7.4. Thirdly, thesis will research PAT7.4's features and shortcomings of question-designing by analyzing the rationality of each part. Fourthly, from three aspects,including faculty?students learning characteristics and textbooks, the thesis will study the actual situation in Thailand of Chinese teaching?causes of Exam-teaching separation and the negative impact of PAT7.4, then put forward relevant suggestions and comments.
