Academic procrastination is one of the problems troubled high school students' learning, and it should not be ignored. Previous studies revealed that academic procrastination is a common and damaging failure of self-control. After reading related papers, the research will intervene academic procrastination, using self-control training, through 2.5 months, recruiting high school students as participants.The researcher conducted the survey by using the questionnaire of middle school students' self-control ability and the questionnaire of middle school students' academic procrastination with 500 students as participants, ranking the result from high to low and selecting the top 35%(175) of the participants (n=108) with low self-control ability, high academic procrastination to intervene. All of participants were randomly divided into experimental group, matched group and control group. The experimental group received self-control training for two and a half months. In order to exclude the possibility of the additional impact of the group counseling, the matched group received group counseling intervention for two and a half of months but the theme has nothing to do with self-control. Control group without any intervention. After the intervention, the experimental group, matched group and control group were tested again. After one and a half of months to retest.The results of the study show that:(1) Self-control training significantly improves the self-control ability of the subjects.(2) Self-control training reduces the academic procrastination, and reaches a significant level.(3) The intervention effect of self-control training has good stability.This study fully implies that self-control training for high school students' academic prcratination can have positive influence.
