In recent years, with the improvement of people' s living standards, people' s lifestyles, nutritional status, and dietary structure have undergone tremendous changes.Affected by factors such as heredity, environment, and social psychology, the constitution of people has also changed.Vertigo is often a sign of stroke, even one of the manifestations of stroke itself. Therefore,it is of great significance to strengthen the prevention and treatment of vertigo, especially the vertigo phlegm-dampness syndromes. In order to provide a more objective basis for TCM syndrome differentiation and treatment of vertigo and dampness syndrome, the relationship between phlegm-dampness syndromes and vertigo,we used clinical epidemiological investigation methods, and analyzed the related factors such as gender, age, dizziness symptoms, body water content, blood lipids, fasting blood glucose, uric acid, and BMI in 80 patients with vertigo. The aim is to understand the predisposing factors of vertigo phlegm-dampness syndromes, and to provide basis for the early diagnosis of vertigo phlegm-dampness syndromes, eliminate susceptibility factors, and effectively prevent and treat diseases.1.PurposeBy observing the differences in body water content, blood lipids, blood sugar,Uric acid, and BMI between vertigo patients with phlegm-dampness syndrome and vertigo patients with non-phlegm-dampness syndrome,we explored the correlation between vertigo and phlegm-dampness syndrome and physical and chemical indicators,to explore the correlation between vertigo syndrome and physical and chemical indicators, and then provide evidence for the objective diagnosis of dizziness and phlegm-dampness syndrome.2.MethodThis article includes two review and clinical research sections. The first review describes the research progress of Chinese medicine and Western medicine for vertigo, and the second one describes the relationship between vertigo and phlegm-dampness syndrome. The clinical research section designed clinical questionnaires on the basis of consultation with experts, including general personal conditions such as gender and age, physical and chemical indicators related to phlegm-dampness syndrome such as body water content, lipids, fasting blood glucose,BMI and uric acid.SPSS20.0 statistical software was used to analyze the collected data.3.Result(1)Gender and age:There was no difference in distribution of sex and age between vertigo phlegm-dampness syndromes and non-phlegm-dampness syndromes.(P>0.05)(2)Vertigo symptoms:The vertigo symptoms in the phlegm-dampness group were generally higher than those in the non-phlegm-dampness group(P<0.05).(3)Body water content:The phlegm-dampness degree score of vertigo and phlegm-dampness syndrome is related to water content(P<0.05).(4)Blood lipids:Symptoms of phlegm-dampness symptoms were positively correlated with TG and CHOL,with statistical differences, negatively correlated with HDL-C,and statistically significant. There was a statistically significant difference between TG,CHOL,and HDL-C in phlegm-dampness group and non-phlegm-dampness groups(P<0.05),and there were no statistical differences in LDL-C,Lp(a),ApoAl,and ApoB 4 items(P>0.05).(5)Blood glucose:Vertigo phlegm-dampness syndrome are associated with fasting blood glucose(P<0.05).(6)Uric acid:There is a statistically significant difference between the vertigo phlegm-dampness syndrome and the uric acid value(P<0.05).(7)BMI:There was a statistically significant difference between the vertigo phlegm-dampness syndrome and BMI(P>0.05).4.Conclusion(1)The severity of phlegm-dampness syndrome is related to the severity of vertigo symptoms.(2)Abnormalities in body water content, fasting blood glucose, uric acid,BMI,TG,and CHOL may be risk factors for the occurrence of vertigo phlegm-dampness syndrome.
