Japanese kampo medicine originated from the traditional Chinese medicine in China,however,along with the historical evolution,under the unique political and cultural influence in Japan,the Japanese kampo medicine gradually develops different from traditional Chinese medicine of China with the Japanese national characteristics.At the same time,under the influence of the classical Treatise on Febrile Disease in the traditional Chinese medicine in China,a new school of Japanese kampo medicine came into being-the Koho school,which is the symbol of the localization of the traditional Chinese medicine in Japan.Meanwhile,it also becomes the mainstream of Japanese medicine.After the Meiji Restoration,Japan began to be completely westernized,Japanese kampo medicine is almost dead,in the process of rejuvenation of the Japanese kampo medicine,the medical scientists of the Koho school once again play a decisive role,while Mr Keisethu Othuka is one of the outstanding medical scientist and scholar of the Koho school,he not only inherits the knowledge of the traditional Japanese kampo medicine,but also absorbs the concept of the western medicine,thus he becomes one of the main founder of the rejuvenation of Japanese kampo medicine.PurposeThe study hopes that through the exploration of the works of Keisethu Othuka,whose academic characteristics,understanding as well as original ideas of Zhong Jing's theory are sorted out from it,in addition,the research introduces his understanding and experience on the application of the prescription,analyzes his thinking in clinical diagnosis and treatment while his academic thoughts is compared with the Chinese medical specialist so as to further deepen the people's understanding of the academic concept of Keisethu Othuka.The study hopes that it could deepen Chinese scholars' understanding of Keisethu Othuka's academic thoughts and understand his academic concepts and the thinking of his clinical diagnosis as well as treatment in a better way.methodsThis paper is predominated with literature research,first by combing the academic characteristics and contributions and the representative medicinal specialists of Koho school.It illustrates the academic characteristics of Koho school,by collating the works of Keisethu Othuka,the paper sums up the content that can represent his unique academic views and his understanding as well as the original thoughts concerning treatise on febrile diseases as a master of Koho school,meanwhile,it sorts and summarizes his academic point of view,then the in-depth exploration and display of the part of the larger value concerning it will be conducted.While the comparison of its academic point of view with Chinese medical specialists is made,in order to further analyze the academic features,advantages and disadvantages of Keisethu Othuka.resultsThrough the study as well as summary of the works of Keisethu Othuka,it summarizes Keisethu Othuka's academic origin,characteristics and clinical diagnostic thinking and features,in addition,the related exploration about his understanding and original thoughts of Zhang Zhongjing's theory is made,such as the understanding of abdomen examination,the difference between the dry mouth and the thirsty feeling,the understanding of detoxification reaction,the research of the "Kangping Treatise on Febrile Diseases" as well as his understanding of Zhang Zhongjing's prescriptions.With the comparison of the academic point of view of Keisethu Othuka with that of the Chinese medical specialists,it has probed the academic characteristics of Keisethu Othuka,the parts that worth learning for the Chinese medical specialists and his insufficiency.conclusionThe academic study of Keisethu Othuka is real and objective,taking practical and effective as the guidelines,meanwhile,he is good at summary and reflection.As a modern master of Koho school,there are quite a number of the original and unique insights,in particular,his understanding of the abdomen examination is deep and profound,inventing the two abdomen symptoms of "center of the core" and "Periumbilical pain".He devotes himself to the research on the treatise on febrile diseases with the most efforts,with his in-depth as well as original thoughts,unearthed the "Kangping" treatise on febrile diseases,which provides a brand new thinking of the interpretation on treatise on febrile diseases,with the description in way of being practical and easy to understand.
