Study On The Application Law Of Gypsum In Treatise On Febrile And Miscellaneous Diseases By Zhang Zhongjing

Objective: To explore the law of gypsum application,so as to deepen the understanding of Zhongjing's theory,enrich the understanding of gypsum,and provide reference for the clinical application of gypsum.Methods: This paper studies the application of gypsum in Zhang Zhongjing's Treatise on Febrile and Miscellaneous Diseases from six aspects: general situation of prescriptions and articles,basis,dosage,property and efficacy,compatibility as well as method of processing,decocting,and using taboo.by means of literature review and analysis.Conclusion:1.Situation of prescriptions and articles: including the supplementary prescription,except the repeated prescriptions,there are 19 prescriptions using gypsum in Treatise on Febrile and Miscellaneous Diseases,involving 31 articles.2.Basis: The gypsum used in Treatise on Febrile and Miscellaneous Diseases and the gypsum contained in Shennong Bencao Jing and Shennong Bencao Jing Jizhu are consistent with the current medical genuine gypsum.Its base is gypsum,and its variety is white.3.Dose: Of the 16 decoction containing gypsum,the maximum dose of gypsum is 72 Liang,the minimum dose is 0.25 Liang,and the median dose is 8 Liang.The highest frequency is 5-8,followed by 16 Liang,72 Liang,0.25 Liang,1 Liang and 2 liang.When gypsum is used for 16 Liang,the most diseases and syndromes are involved,followed by 8 Liang and 6 Liang.Mainly used for heat syndrome,exterior syndrome,post-sweating,post-vomiting,post-postpartum,sweating,pain,vomiting,thirst,deficiency and other diseases.4.Property and efficacy: Zhang Zhongjing's understanding of gypsum property is more likely to be slightly cold.In Treatise on Febrile and Miscellaneous Diseases,heat clearing is the basic effect of gypsum.Through heat clearing,it can indirectly play the functions of relieving muscles,removing troubles,reducing adverse reactions,relieving pain and thirst.5.Compatibility: in Treatise on Febrile and Miscellaneous Diseases,there are 15 kinds of drugs that are compatible with gypsum twice or more: liquorice,ephedra,Cinnamon Twig,jujube,ginger,Anemarrhena,pinellia,japonica rice,dried ginger,almond,ginseng,peony,Atractylodes macrocephala,asarum,Schisandra chinensis.The use of tonic drugs,antidepressants,expectorants,cough and asthma drugs and heat clearing drugs were more frequent.6.Method of processing,decocting,and and using taboo: gypsum used in Treatise on Febrile and Miscellaneous Diseases is raw product.gypsum be put into decoction often,and also can be put into pill.The gypsum into the decoction should generally be broken and wrapped without pre-boiling.There is no clear taboo to use gypsum.
