The Clinical Efficacy Of Wei's Anti-red Itch And Fumigation Treatment Of Blepharitis

ObjectiveBlepharitis is a common ocular surface disease,its pathogenesis and related influence factors are not entirely clear,which are still challenges for human beings,as well as its classification,diagnosis and treatment.There is no relevant guidelines put forward specific treatment plan.Combining traditional Chinese and western medicine therapy may have certain curative effect to blepharitis.Weishi Tuichi Xiaoyang recipe for the treatment of blepharitis in clinical has been used for many years,and preliminary curative effect has been obtained.But the exact curative effect of patients can be acquired only through strict randomised controlled trials.Besides,the benefit of patients and the visual quality of life after treatment can only be evaluated by the method of questionnaire investigation and scale.For these reason,combining scientific research and clinical,this study adopts the method of prospective randomized controlled trials,evaluating the effects Weishi Tuichi Xiaoyang recipe on blepharitis,then making the precious experience of Wei's eye treatment blepharitis spread.Methods1.60 patients in wind heat syndrome of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)suffered from blepharitis were included and divided into 2 groups randomly,experiment al group and control group.2.Experimental group:30 cases(60 eyes)fumigated with the Weishi Tuichi Xiaoyang recipe(herba schizonepetae,forsythia,mint,windproof,cortex moutan,honeysuckle,mulberry leaf,and calcined calamine)in 15 minutes,dip in with disinfection swab warm saline cleaning eyelid and eyelash,once a day;Meibomian gland massage at the beginning?the seventh and the forth.Pralofen eye drops and sodium hyaluronate eye drops 4 times a day eye,continuous 14 days.Control group:30 patients(60 eyes)hot compress,dip in with disinfection swab warm saline cleaning eyelid and eyelash,once a day;Meibomian gland massage at the beginning?the seventh and the forth.Pralofen eye drops and sodium hyaluronate eye drops 4 times a day eye,continuous 14 days.3.Eyelid edge,Tear break-up time(BUT),Fluorescein(FL),meibomian gland function,subjective symptoms and ocular surface disease index(OSDI)questionnaire scores were analyzed before treatment and 14 days after treatment.Results1.The age,gender,eyelid margin,BUT,FL,meibomian gland function,the Subjective discomfort and OSDI questionnaire scores of two groups were not different(P>0.05).2.After 14 days of treatment,the condition of eyelid margin,BUT,meibomian gland function,the Subjective discomfort and OSDI questionnaire scores in the two groups were better than those before treatment(P<0.05).The improvement of eyelid edge situation,BUT,FL,subjective symptoms and OSDI score better than those in the control group(P<0.05).There were no statistical diference in meibomian gland function between two groups(P>0.05).ConclusionsThe eyelid edge condition,FL,BUT,the three objective indicators and the subjective symptoms and OSDI of the patients improved by using Weishi Tuichi Xiaoyang recipe fumigation,eyelid edge clean,meibomian gland massage,Pralofen eye drops and sodium hyaluronate eye dropsthe.The therapy have obvious advantages in reducing the eyelid marginal hyperemia,extending BUT,promoting restoration of the corneal epithelium,alleviating subjective symptoms and OSDI.
