The Clinical Efficacy Of Acupuncture Combined With Western Medicine In The Treatment Of Oculomotor Nerve Palsy

Purpose: To objectively evaluate the effectiveness of the acupuncture combined with western medicine for treatment of oculomotor paralysis.Material and method:This research will conform to the standard of diagnosis and inclusion criteria of oculomotor nerve paralysis in 40 patients,according to randomly divided into two groups.In the treatment group,20 cases were treated with acupuncture combined with western medicine,while the control group(n = 20)were treated with conventional Western medicine.Acupoints of the eye(Jingming,Cuanzhu,Yuyao,Sizhukong,Taiyang,Tongziliao)with distal acupoints(Hegu and Zusanli),once a day,15 days for a course of treatment;Conventional western medicine treatment with nutrition nerve and improve circulation drugs,if necessary,with the use of systemic corticosteroids,15 days for a course of treatment,Two groups were observed before and after treatment of diplopia,after two courses of pupillary changes,improve the conditions and degree of eyelid closure.And in 1994 the State Administration of traditional Chinese Medicine published "Chinese disease diagnosis and efficacy of standard" oculomotor paralysis efficacy criteria as a clinical indicator.The data were analyzed by SPSS19.O statistical software.Results: 1.clinical observation shows that diplopia,the treatment group and the control group of pupil change,improve treatment of eyelid closure degree before and after treatment showed significant difference(P<0.05).2.the total effective rate of the treatment group was 95%,and the total effective rate of the control group was 80%,there was significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion: 1.Effect of acupuncture combined with routine western medicine treatment of oculomotor paralysis curative effect is better than pure western medicine treatment of oculomotor paralysis.2.based on conventional therapy combined with acupuncture eye week acupoints can improve clinical symptoms and oculomotor nerve palsy patients,improve the quality of life of patients.
