The Establishment Of A Modern Literature Database And Data Mining For Acupuncture

Objective:This research introduced the contemporary situation of domestic and overseas acupuncture Deqi literatures.Newly-developing technologies of Database and Data Ming were applied to establish Modern Literatures Database about Acupucture Deqi and excavated correlated documents to discover undetected Deqi knowledge and provide documentation support of Acupuncture clinic and research.Methods:A search was conducted using four Chinese-language databases(CNKI,WanFang,VIP and CBM)and Pubmed database with main keywords 'deqi' or 'needle sensation' et al(1949-2013).We established the relational Modern Literatures Database about Acupucture Deqi database via Data Enging of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition,and excavated correlated documents via Apriori algorithm in weka.Results:1.Domestic and Overseas Modem Literatures Database about Acupucture Deqi was established.2.The publish quantity of Deqi literatures increased yearly.The types including Clinical Trials,Mechanism Trials,Ancient Books Analysis,Clinical Experience and Comprehensive Literature.Domestic research concentrates on analysis of Acupunture Deqi contents in ancient books,and the highest frequency chapter was Jiu Zhen Shi Er Yuan Di Yi in Lingshu,and the significance of Deqi is the focal point.Overseas research concentrates on the mechanism of Acupuncture Deqi.3.The emphasis of clinical Deqi research is the relevance of Deqi and curative effects.Early researches majored in summarization of personal clinical experimence.Randomizsed Controlled Trials of large sample were increased gradually in recent years,but the common view is not existed because the different kinds of diseases intervented by Acupuncture.4.Results of Association Mining:4.1 Relevance of using Acupuncture Deqi to treat diseases of Musculoskeletal System and Connective Tissue and valid effect is highest,toothache as example;Relevance of using Acupuncture Deqi to treat diseases of Nervous System and Sensory Organs and healing effect is highest,Bell's palsy as example.4.2 Acupoints of Stomach Meridian of Food Yangming is most frequently used while diseases of Musculoskeletal System and Connective Tissue were treated by Acupuncture Deqi;Acupoints of Gallbladder Meridian of Food Shaoyang is most frequently used while diseases of Nervous System and Sensory Organs were treated by Acupuncture Deqi.4.3 Mechanism study of Deqi focused on the influence of Acupuncture Deqi to cerebrum function.Anterior central gyrus and thalamus are the most likely activated simultaneously in healthy person during Acupuncture Deqi.4.4 The highest frequency of Deqi feeling is Swelling in clinical patients and Soreness in healthy person.The highest frequency of recombination Deqi feeling is Heaviness-Pain-Niumbness in clinical patients and Swelling-Soreness in healthy person.4.5 The most common compatibility of meridians are Large Intestine Meridian of Hand Yangming,Gallbladder Meridian of Food Shaoyang and Stomach Meridian of Food Yangming in clincal patients treated by Acupuncture Deqi.Conclusion:The establiment of Domestic and Overseas Modern Literatures Database about Acupucture Deqi summarized previous studies and quantized literatures of Acupuncture Deqi.A data source is found for inquiry and derived identification data for Mining.We found a flood of literatures about Deqi which divided into several types and quality.Quality assessment is necessary to provide methodological reference for the different types of Deqi study in thr future.The Mining results show the common view is not existed because the different kinds of diseases intervented by Acupuncture.Acupuncture effective diseases were to screen based on the ancient books and clinical experience of famous doctors for high quality cliniccal research in the relevance of Deqi and curative effects,so as to consumate correlated evidence system.The health status should to be considered as an influence factor of Deqi feeling types formulation in future scale.Another important influence factor of Acupuncture Deqi is the choice of acupoints in meridian with enough qi and blood.The analysis of individual cases about Deqi should be strenthened in ancient books study.The Mining results consumate traditional knowledge of influence factors about Acupuncture Deqi and achieve the application of Data Mining in Deqi literatures,as well to provide document theory for clinical acupuncture.
