ObjectiveThis paper is determined to summarize and explain the connotation and characteristics of Zhang Yuan-su's syndrome differentiation theory,to clarify the formation and development of Zhang Yuan-su's syndrome differentiation theory,and to develop the origin of Zhang Yuan-su's life.Some related representative physicians are selected to do comparative study,by which we can understand more about Zhang Yuan-su's academic thinking,especially the theory of viscera syndrome differentiation.What's more,the formation of post-doctoral academic thought and the clinical guidance of medication based of Zhang Yuan-su's thoughts are also important.Methods First,combined with historical research methods,historical materialism tells that the way ofproduction of material life determines the general process of social life,political life and spiritual life,social existence determines social consciousness;Zhang Yuan-su in their historical age experienced Special survival environment,the continuous development of its unique medical theory and clinical experience,in line with the characteristics of the times and people's needs.Therefore,tracing the source,in a particular historical environment to study the historical figures themselves and their academic thinking is particularly important.Second,using the method of data mining to explore the application of Zhang Yuansu 's academic theory in modern clinical practice.Thirdly,combined with field research and philology research methods,we can collect and appraise relevant historical materials and medical books comprehensively,and then summarize and classify data.ResultsFirstly,the formation of Zhang Yuan-yuan's academic thoughts is closely related to the background of the times,geographical background,academic origin and his personal qualities.During the historical period of SongJinYuan,people got internal damage diseases easily exhausted by the frequent war and the disease epidemic.Meanwhile,most doctor was conservative.They held no idea about diseases occurred.On the other hand,Yizhou area is rich in medicinal resources,which played a helpful role in treatment.Zhang Yuansu is also diligent,inclusive and innovative.At that time,medical theories developed rapidly.The emergence of hundreds of schools and frequent academic exchanges contributed to the formation of Zhang Yuansu's academic thoughts.Secondly,Zhang Yuansu's academic thoughts have far-reaching influence on later generations.Li Gao and Wang Haogu are the students of Dr.Zhang.Li Gao is LuoTianyi's teacher.XueLizhai,Zhang Jiebin and Li Zhongzi who lived in Ming and Qing dynasty are the followers of Zhang Yuansu and Li Gao.Zhao Xianke learned from Xue Li Zhai,GaoGufeng,Lvliu Liang and Dong FeiWeng are all Zhao Xianke's students.ShenLangzhong learned from Li Zhongzi.Ma Yuan Yi learned from ShenLangzhong.Based on the viscera syndrome theory,Zhang Yuan-su's academic thoughts gradually developed into a theory focused on the spleen and stomach,and Kidney-vitalgate.Thirdly,viscera syndrome is Zhang Yuan's main academic thought,which is significant in guiding the clinical diagnosis and treatment.According to the principle of viscera syndrome,there are five common types of dermatomyositis:spleen deficiency,hot poison flaming,kidney yin deficiency,lung qi deficiency and liver yin deficiency.72 prescriptions were selected and 243 drugs were used to analyze the rules of medication and the networked display of drug related to dermatomyositis.ConclusionsZhang Yuan is the master of the syndrome differentiation theory,who established a rational theory of syndrome differentiation of viscera.Meanwhile,the visceral medication at proper time is a major feature of its academic thoughts,which reinforced the syndrome differentiation system and played a very important role in improving clinical efficacy.YiShui school is founded by Zhang Yuansu,inherited and developed from generation to generation,YiShui's theory have gradually developed into a theory focused on the spleen and stomach,and Kidney-vitalgate,which played an immeasurable role in the development of Chinese medicine.
