In the past 20 years,the research on the origin and flow of syndrome has been paid more and more attention."the faction of medicine is divided into Jin and Yuan." Zhang Yuansu was a famous physician in Jin and Yuan dynasties and founded the Yi Shui School.Zhang Yuansu's syndrome system plays an important role in the historical development of TCM syndrome theory.By using literature and theoretical research methods,this paper systematically studies the characteristics of syndromes related to kidney in Zhang Yuansu medicine book compared with modern kidney syndrome,and analyzes the origin of characteristics of syndromes related to kidney in Zhang Yuansu medicine book,its influence on later generations and related evaluation.It also briefly discusses its causes and analyzes its significance to the modern syndrome theory.To reflect the significance of Zhang Yuansu's academic thought as a historical stage in the development of TCM syndrome theory from a point of view.The above research focuses on Zhang Yuansu's "kidney water yin deficiency syndrome".1The characteristics of syndromes related to kidney in Zhang Yuansu medicine book compared with modern kidney syndrome(1)In Zhang Yuansu kidney syndrome,demonstration plays a more important role.(2)Zhang Yuansu's kidney syndrome is rough,and the name of the syndrome is only kidney attribute of "cold" to replace the abstract and complex attributes of "water" and "yin" in the understanding and grasp of kidney water yin deficiency syndrome.Therefore,"cold deficiency"is used to replace "water deficiency" and "yin deficiency".5The significance of the characteristics of syndromes related to kidney in Zhang Yuansu medicine book to the modern syndrome theory:The above-mentioned characteristics and causes of Zhang Yuansu's kidney syndrome suggest that the modern study of TCM syndrome theory:(1)The viewpoint that there should be development,and the data of thousands of years should not be regarded as the same.(2)There should be a comprehensive point of view,and the ancient syndrome should not be understood simply in a literal sense,but its connotation should be accurately understood according to its position in the whole syndrome system at that time and the clinical information it represents(etiology,symptom manifestation,treatment,etc.).6 The innovation of this study:Zhang Yuansu's syndrome system plays an important role in the historical development of TCM syndrome theory and has a certain influence on the clinical practice of later generations.The systematic study on the characteristics of syndrome in Zhang Yuansu's academic thought will help to make up for the deficiency in the current research on Zhang Yuansu's syndrome theory,improve the understanding of the development history of TCM syndrome theory,and provide reference for modern syndrome theory.
