Objective:The clinical research is about treating the children of exopathic dampness prevalent fever by blood-letting therapy. Explore the efficiency and safety of blood-letting therapy.Methods:65 subjects were randomly divided into 3 groups:The blood-lettering therapy group (23), the physical cooling group(20) and the blank control group(22). Subjects in the blood-lettering therapy group had erjian point, shaoshang point, zhongchong point exsanguination about 0.25ml in total. And taken Chinese medicine which called qinxuandaozhitang 5 times a day. Subjects in the physical group are being wiped some parts of body like oxter, groin and forehead by 75% alcohol each half an hour. And taken the same Chinese medicine in the same way. Subjects in the blank control group just need to take the Chinese medicine. Three days after the treatment follow up. In the three groups were observed the time and degree body temperature delay before and after treatment. And the symptoms they have. And using the CARIFs to evaluate.Results:(1)There is no significant difference(P>0.05) of subjects'age, sex, duration of fever, highest temperature in the blood-lettering therapy group, the physical cooling group and the blank control group. The total recovery rate of blood-lettering therapy group is 60%, total recovery rate of physical cooling group is 35%, total recovery rate of blank control group is 30%. There was significant differences between the three groups(P>0.05):the total recovery rate of the three group have no significant difference.(2)There are significant differences(P<0.05) between the blood-lettering therapy group and physical cooling group of temperature delay in half an hour. And there is no significant difference(P>0.05) of temperature delay in half an hour between the physical cooling group and blank control group.(3)There are significant differences(P<0.05) between the physical cooling group and blank control group of temperature delay in 3 hour.Conclusion:(1)Both the blood-lettering therapy and physical cooling therapy with Chinese medicine Qingxuandaozhitang are effective to the children of exopathic dampness prevalent fever.(2)The blood-lettering therapy is more effective, stable and quicker than physical cooling therapy in the treatment of children of exopathic dampness prevalent fever.(3)The blood-lettering therapy is better than physical cooling therapy by the symptoms changes of children of exopathic dampness prevalent fever.(4) The blood-lettering therapy with Chinese medicine taking is benefit to change the symptoms of children of exopathic dampness prevalent fever. But it has no significant difference.
