In recent years, due to climate change and energy supply continuous attention, wind power industry growing well. With the continuous development of wind power industry, the capacity of Wind turbines is more and more. The height of the wind turbine tower is higher. However,as the tower height increasing, some of the the traditional steel tower shows a lot of limitations. It includes the cost of transportation, maintenance, installation and so on.In such circumstances, hybrid tower provides a good solution to these problems. In this article,we will take the 2MW wind turbine in the height of 100 m as the example, which is combined with the neimenggu load cases.According to the European and National standards, the strength, stability and stiffness of the tower are analyzed.Using the finite element theory, the modal analysis are analyzed which is to ensured that the phenomenon of resonance is not occur. Finally the economic aspects of the contrast has been carried between the hybrid tower and the traditional steel tower.Research results shows that the strength, stability and stiffness can satisfy the requirements of the load of the wind situation. The natural frequency of the tower which is got by the finite element theory. There are no intersection point between the Natural frequency of the tower and 1p and 3p under the the scope of the tower operation. We can also draw the following conclusions that the economical efficiency of hybrid tower is better, the installion and transportion is more convenient,Maintenance is also more ingenious.
