Suzhou City Function Optimization Research From The Perspective Of Global Cities

2015, Suzhou urban population reached 5 million 950 thousand people into the ranks of large cities. Global cities have become the new targets of Suzhou's urban development. Into the global city innovation network, assume the important node function, and play an important role in the global economy, society, culture has become the new pursuit of Suzhou.Under the above background, this paper focuses on the new development and optimization of Suzhou city's function. By combing the development process of global cities and the theory of global cities, the global urban theory pays more attention to the city's overall innovation function, cultural function and human settlements. Then in comparison with the 16 major cities in the country, analysis of the characteristics of Suzhou city and the characteristics of the short board performance.
