A Study On The Urban Space Of The Ancient City Of Suzhou In The Qing Dynasties Based On Historical Image Analysis

The development of commodity economy in the Qing Dynasties brought the prosperity of the city.Urban spatial form,as a product of historical development,has retained and continued the characteristics of the urban pattern.The ancient city of Suzhou has its own distinctive features of the city,with the evolution of the city and the development of contemporary urbanization,the urban spatial form of Suzhou has changed a lot,to recognize and strengthen the urban spatial image of the ancient city of Suzhou is of great significance to the sustainable development of the city and highlight the charm of the ancient city of Suzhou.The ancient historical image contains a large number of urban historical information,which is an important historical material for the study of urban space.Based on the collection and arrangement of Suzhou Taohuawu annual painting and the data analysis of their urban space,this paper establishes the possibility of Taohuawu annual painting as a historical material for the study of urban space.First of all,this paper classifies a large number of subjects of the Taohuawu annual painting and three types of image works with urban space are summed up,and taking this kind of Taohuawu annual painting as the research material.In the perspective of the market,taking the urban space of the ancient city of Suzhou in the Qing Dynasties as the main object of study,on the research ideas of city image,using the research method of iconography,through the discussion 、 summing up and summarizing of the five elements(path,boundary,node,region and symbol)of the ancient city of Suzhou,refining the urban spatial characteristics of the ancient city of Suzhou in the Qing Dynasties in Taohuawu’s annual paintings.In order to provide a theoretical basis for the space design practice of the protection and redevelopment of the ancient city of Suzhou,and toenhance the spatial awareness of the traditional blocks.
