Study On The Role And Carry Forward Countermeasure Of Suzhou City Spirit

With the rapid advancement of globalization and urbanization,the number of cities is growing rapidly and the city scale is expanding rapidly.However,the individual differences between cities are gradually narrowing,showing the characteristics of high convergence.Meanwhile,the negative effects of fragmentation are prominent,such as intensified internal vicious competition,decreased sense of belonging of citizens,and weak urban cohesion.In this context,the role of urban spirit in strengthening the image and characteristics of a city,improving the level of urban civilization,enhancing the cohesion of urban centripetal force,and promoting the integrated development of the city has been paid more and more attention,and the shaping and promotion of urban spirit have been generally paid attention to in all cities.But from the actual point of view,the urban spirit of most cities did not give full play to the expected role.Therefore,it is necessary to further strengthen the research on the mechanism of exerting and promoting the urban spirit.Taking Suzhou as the research object,this study focuses on the unique field of urban fragmentation,and tries to analyze the influential factors of urban spirit from the comparison of the role of urban spirit in urban fragmentation in Suzhou,and then puts forward some suggestions for the promotion of urban spirit.Firstly,the fragmentation of Suzhou city includes the fragmentation of city economy,the fragmentation of city space and the fragmentation of city society.Its positive effects are as follows: promoting balanced development,alleviating urban diseases and promoting multiple paths;The negative effects are as follows: the scale economy is difficult to form,the service level is stagnant,and the regional cultural inheritance is blocked.Second,the core of Suzhou’s urban spirit mainly includes four elements: striving for excellence,worshiping culture,opening up and harmony.Theoretically,these urban spirits should be able to play a role in stimulating the positive effects of fragmentation,strengthening the urban identity and coordination space,resolving the fragmentation barriers to promote mutual benefit and win-win,and promoting coordinated and orderly development.But in fact,in addition to the continuous struggle for the first to play a part of the theoretical role,the worship of literature,opening up,harmony have not played a proper role in the fragmentation of the development of the city.Third,the limitation of the actual function of Suzhou city spirit is the result of the joint action of interest factors,institutional factors and explicit factors.Fourthly,to really play a role of suzhou city spirit ought to be,and should influence the interests of its role play,system,explicit factor,such as through strengthening subject cognition,optimization of systems and mechanisms,build cultural brand,the implementation of explicit carrier construction,measures such as to further promote the suzhou city spirit,brings to maximize its role.
