Cabinet Design Based On Chinese Cooking Habits

cabinet is common in our life,it is closely connected with our daily cooking.Chinese have gone through the process of using fireplace,hearth,the process of modern kitchen stove,and until the end of the 20th century the integral cabinet just came into our sight.As a product coming from the west,the function or the appearance of the integral ambry in China both came from the west.As the more Chinese know about the integral ambry,the higher requirement we have.As the integral ambry in China is still in the stage of development,there are many shortcomings for the integral ambry in the market,and the most outstanding problem is the lack of products that design according to the habits Chinese people have when cooking.Cooking is an art about the meal and the cabinet is the stage for people to enjoy cooking,a series of habits that people develop when cooking will have affects on the cabinet designing.Therefore in this thesis I will comb the history of the kitchen and cabinet in China firstly,and then regarding the cooking habits of Chinese people as a point to summarize the affects of it on the design of integral ambry.Secondly,as China has vast land and abundant resources and there are great difference among the people in different area,so in this thesis I will select the Guangdong province,northeast China and other area in the north China as examples to analyze the cooking habits of local residents in these three areas and know them how to effect the design of integral ambry.At last,I designed five sets of cabinets fit for the cooking habits of Chinese based on these three areas and conclude what is the design of integral ambry fit for the cooking habits of Chinese like as a reference for future research.
