Research On System Construction Of "interactive Participatory" Fashion Design Methods

The article concentrates on interactive participatory design in the fashion field,discussed the background,theories,practice cases,design methods and marketing mode with an attempt to systematically construct the methods of participatory fashion design and explores the meaning and development prospect.The author concluded concept,characteristics and design methods of participatory design through corresponding theory papers and works as well as the collection,clarification and analysis of practical cases.Compared to traditional design,participatory design focused on consumers with chatacteristics of diversity,contingency and emotinality,showing a inter‐subjective relationship.The author divided participatory design design into three parts:halfway design,diverse design and modular design,according to various manipulating ways in interactive participation.The core point of participatory design lies in convenient participation,diverse design in integrated and economic choices and modular design in demands with characteriatics of interconvertibility,generality and relative independence.Based on the concept and characters of participatory design and three design methodologies,the author intends to build a fashion design system in which designers offer materials and guidance and consumers participate design with the right to choose and make decisions according to demands.The system aims at meeting various demands of consumers on personality,aesthetic value,function and lifestyle with core content as construction of material liberary and participating approaches,related to interactive relashionship among consumers,designers and producers.The whole system applies halfway design,diverse design and modular design and marketing idea of participatory design.The interactive participatory fashion design system is of significant importance.For users,it is an approach to the self‐fulfillment of individual creativity;for products,it maximizes the utilization;for resources,it may be a new mode for future sustainable development.Participatory design modofies traditional thinking and behavior and may even change human lifestyle in the future.
