Scientific expedition of biological resources has always been an important field in the National Special Program on Basic Science and Technology Research in China.And with the national policy to guide the support,socio-economic development needs and environmental changes and other external reasons,the intensity of biological resources expedition in the National Special Program on Basic Science and Technology Research increased,scientific data generated by scientific expedition also increased,and the needs of biological resources scientific expedition information management system construction are more urgent.Therefore,it is of great significance to construct the scientific expedition information management system of biological resources for data storage,management and integration.WebGIS is an important part of GIS in today,it is a combination of Web technology and GIS technology.The technology uses Web technology to expand and improve Geographic Information System.WebGIS have many characteristics like low cost,convenient operation,large amount of information,and so on.Therefore,this paper builds a WebGIS to achieve scientific and effective management of biological resources scientific expedition data.Based on the analysis of the current situation of WebGIS at home and abroad,described the characteristics and fundamental of WebGIS,and gives the advantages and disadvantages of different implementation methods of WebGIS.According to its advantages and disadvantages and biological resources scientific expedition data characteristics,implemented the WebGIS platform based on Ajax technology jQuery +jQuery EasyUI framework.The system has designed two functional modules,respectively GIS data management and operation module,and thematic map module.GIS data management and operation module include the loading and manipulation of the map layer,include zoom in,mark and other basic functions,and include measure,feature attribute query,heat map and other spatial analysis functions.The thematic map module mainly implement the publication and display of thematic maps.This system uses the open source database PostgreSQL to store attribute data,and uses the spatial database engine PostGIS to store spatial data.Using GIS server GeoServer to achieve GIS map publishing and other services,Using the JavaScript class library OpenLayers to represent the map.After testing,the system implements the design requirements,and the operational efficiency is high,the system can meet the requirements for scientific expedition information management of biological Resources.Simultaneously,this paper introduces the situation of scientific expedition of biological resources in the National Special Program on Basic Science and Technology Research in 2006-2015.From the scientific expedition content direction and spatial distribution characteristics of in-depth study.The results of the study found that in nearly a decade,the number of scientific expedition on biological resources has increased significantly,spatially distributed is also very extensive,but there are still some weaknesses.At present,there are some specie and typical regional biological resources expedition data needed to be updated urgently,and there is part of scientific expedition blank areas of biological resources.And The emphasis on biological resources scientific expedition in ecologically fragile areas and scientific expedition on individual endangered species is lighter...
