With the development and reform of China's electric power industry, the post-assessment for wind power engineering project had attracted the high attention from SASAC, NDRC and the owners as well. At the same time, how to scientifically evaluate the project of wind power was an important issue in the field of electric power research and for the consulting institutions and designing units. To establish and improve the theory system of the wind power project post assessment had become the key to the evaluation work.Based on the basic theory and method of post evaluation and combined with the real situation of Datang Renewable Ansai Wind Power Project, this paper subjected on the post assessment of wind power project. In the paper, investigation was made on project construction, operation process evaluation, grid friendly model and CDM (Clean Development Mechanism) evaluation, economic efficiency, and as well as sustainability and impact assessment of the Datang Renewable Ansai Wind Power Project. Finally, the post evaluation index system of the wind power project was established, and the logic frame method and the success degree method were used in the comprehensive evaluation process. The results showed that the Datang Renewable Ansai Wind Power Project was put into operation successfully with profitable finance, and significant environmental effect as well, the project area of wind resources are very rich, with good ability of sustainable development. This paper summarized the experience and lessons learned in the process of post assessment of wind power construction, and provided with support for future investment decisions.
