Inventory Optimization Of A Company Based On Supply Chain Management

In the context of overall overcapacity in the domestic chemical industry and along with the increasing homogenization of enterprise technology and products, the competition between enterprises is gradually transformed from the competition of apparent technology and products to the competition among supply chains behind. As a part of the supply chain, inventory plays an important role in the operational efficiency of an enterprise, which further influences the industrial competitiveness of the enterprise.Inventory, as an essential material in A company operation, ensures the smooth operation of the enterprise, but will also reduce its operational efficiency. Unreasonable inventory reserves, will not only occupy a great deal of working capital, waste human and material resources, and generate unnecessary holding costs, but probably lead to pressure of environmental governance caused by expiration and obsolescence.Firstly, based on the basic theory and method of inventory management as well as the characteristics of A company, this paper studies the problems existing in the inventory management of raw materials in A company and further analyzes the causes of these problems; secondly, aiming at the problems in A company's inventory management and combining with the method of supply chain inventory management, this paper puts forward a series of practical and feasible optimization measures, and verifies the effectiveness of the optimization through comparing the practical cases.Through the research, this paper, on the one hand, aims to find out a set of practical and feasible plans of raw material inventory management in order to help the company reduce inventory effectively and to achieve the purpose of cost control; on the other hand, it also hopes to provide certain reference for some similar chemical distribution or manufacturing enterprises to essentially improve the level of backward raw materials inventory management.
