Research On Supply Chain Planning Issue Of H Company Based On ERP System

ERP system was developed from MRP, then its function was extended. It is able to be used in the complex supply chain environment. Automotive suppliers wish this advanced management system can be used to improve the supply chain planning.H Company is one of the plant in China which is from a famous automotive industry company. The customers cover most of the local OEM. H company Have lots of issues in the supply chain planning, sometimes H company can’t deliver to the customers due to lack of material. After analysis, the root cause is major from below aspects:the customer can only provide very short forecast; the forecast from customers always Has very high fluctuation; the actual required delivery Has much difference compared with original customer forecast; the raw material lead time is very long; sometimes, the supplier has the delivery shortage; low inventory has high impact on the supply chain planning.The purpose of this paper is to research and analyze the issues from H Company’s daily operations in the supply chain planning management based on the ERP system and process, and to find out the solutions. The solution for generate the middle term planning issue is found out based on ERP system. Then the supply issues is analyzed based on ERP system, and the solution is found out for the low inventory impact on the supply chain planning.
