In recent years, airline business develops rapidly with economics and more and more people choose aircraft as their travel tool. At the same time, the increase in the amount of flights brings the problem of flight delays. In order to decrease flight delays, it is not enough to take action by the relative administrative departments, but it also needs researchers to analyze flight delays from scientific to support the flight delays management. In this thesis, the flight delay is analyzed from the view of multi airports by studying the data of flight delays to find the relevance among multi airports.In this thesis, the definition of flight delays is introduced and the influence of flight delays on passengers, airlines, air traffic control management administration and airports is analyzed, and the flight delays reasons are summarized and analyzed, thus providing some measures to prevent flight delays.The relevance of airports delay is studied based on the matter element extension theory. In order to facilitate the study, nine hub airports are chosen to study their influence to Beijing Capital International Airport, then four flight data characteristics, including airport average delay time, the amount of delayed aircraft, the amount of aircraft to Beijing, the total delay time to Beijing, are chosen as flight delay indexes, and based on the matter element extension theory and the real flight data, the classical field and segment field are defined, so the matter element model is constructed. For finding the flight indexes' weights, the Analytic Network Process method with the depended indexes is chosen. The final weight of the four index can be obtained after building the Analytic Network Process model and getting the judgment matrix.To calculate the matter element model, a MATLAB program is designed. After inserting the collected data of flight delay, it gets the final value which represents the influence of airports to Beijing Capital International Airport, then the data of result is analyzed. In order to prove the feasibility of the matter element extension theory used by the flight delay relevance research, a prediction of Beijing Capital International Airport arrival delay tendency is made. Compared to the true arrival delay data, the tendency prediction is approximate.
