Traffic Safety Assessment For Expressway Based On Matter-element Extension Model

Over the last decade, with the rapid growth of China's highway mileage, the growing number of china's highway traffic accidents has caused enormous losses to the state and people. Therefore, traffic safety study which in the purpose of reducing the victims of traffic accidents and reducing the degree of victimization in traffic accident is an imminent target. In the mean time, the scientific analysis of the incentive of the frequent highway accidents is also very important.Starting from the Systems perspective, the causes of highway traffic accidents in China are analyzed in this paper, while, the impact factors on traffic safety such as people, vehicles, roads and environmental factors are also discussed:Introduction paper mainly describes the tendency and the serious security situation of China's expressway. By the way of the identification analysis of many highway features, for example, the feature of highway Drivers, road conditions, traffic conditions, environmental conditions. the main factors that induced the highway accidents are determined, on this basis, the highway safety system evaluation index system is established.Highway Traffic Safety Evaluation System on the basis of theory analysis, through a comprehensive evaluation method for highway safety compared to highway safety for the operating characteristics of the evaluation period is proposed based on matter-element extension model of Highway Traffic Safety Evaluation System.According to the current situation of China's highway safety systems and combining with specific operation circumstances of Hu-Ji highway, this paper evaluates and analyzes the Safety and quality of Hu-Ji highway. Based on evaluation results and the analysis of the influencing factors, this paper presented the main problems that the system is facing and the strategic responses and suggestions that could improve the Hu-Ji highway's safety system.
