Research On International Progect Management Of Harbin Turbine Company

Power is the basic industry of national economy; both national industry development and people's living will rely on power energy. Power construction is a huge and complicated work, and the three major power equipment(boiler, turbine, and generator) are the core equipment which ensure the safe and reliable operation of power plant. Chinese power equipment has favorable price, and short delivery time, and is becoming a favorite choice by the customers from developed countries. But still there is some gap of Chinese equipment compared with that of world advanced enterprises' in product performance, unit stability, after sale service, etc, which has brought negative effects to Chinese enterprises. International project management capability is a major reason that restricts the competiveness of China's power plant equipment.In this paper, international project management of Harbin Turbine Company Limited(hereafter called “HTC”) is researched and studied. It sets forth domestic and abroad research status of power plant project and management features of HTC's international project, and analyzes international project management problems of HTC from several aspects, including execution, risk management, cost accounting, high amount of receivables, after-sale service etc. It also puts forward improvement measures regarding HTC's actual situation and existing problems. This article has significance for HTC's international project management work, and also reference value for relating enterprises.
